An Overview of World History and Gun Control:

  • In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, At least 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

  • China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • The total number of Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

It started with Stalin ordering gun registration and gun licensing.

The result was the deaths of an estimated 20-60 MILLION people, unable to defend themselves.

(FYI, Not mentioned in the video is that Stalin replaced the constitution with one that offered healthcare to all and the right to vote (choices were only for those supporting the same communist values). I have a copy. We must know our history and educate each other so we do not repeat fatal mistakes).

2/18/13 - Suzanna Hupp, a survivor from a mass shooting in Texas speaks out against new gun control measures. In October 1991, a man shot more than 40 people in a Luby's restaurant, killing 23 of them, including Hupp's parents.

She argues that the LAW left her and others helpless against their attacker. In what she called a "stupid decision," Hupp said she realized she'd obeyed Texas law and left her gun in her car.

Will "Gun-Free Zones" make us safer?

I may create another page on deadly shootings committed in gun-free zones, but for now, here is a humorous skit that presses the point home that banning guns to keep us safe is really a fantasy that borders on the ridiculous.

 Which country has the LOWEST gun-related crime rate of any civilized country in the world?

Switzerland. 

Switzerland issues every household a gun and the Swiss Government trains every adult in the handling and use of a rifle. 

Switzerland has the lowest gun related crime rate of any civilized country in the world.
